Act as a clinic leader to ensure the mission and goals of the organization are met.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Essential Duties:<BR><BR>1. Coordinate with the Clinic Manager, Medical Director and other staff to set appropriate goals for the clinic. Communicate clinic goals to employees and ensure that they have the tools and means<BR> necessary to achieve them.<BR><BR>2.Administer ordered medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular or intradermal routes. Start IV lines, perform blood draws with appropriate certification. Under supervision of the<BR> practitioner, inform patients of lab results, call in prescriptions to pharmacies and return practitioner''s phone messages. Document all procedures to appropriate level of training and established<BR> procedures.<BR><BR>3. Obtain and record vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem. Anticipates the needs of the patient and the<BR> practitioner during the exam. Ensure patient privacy and comfort during the exam: instruct patients in the collection of samples and other tests.<BR><BR>4. Participate in nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients&#39; health and wellness within scope of licensure. Evaluate patient care needs. Suggest<BR> solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.<BR><BR>5. Supervise clinical staff daily, coordinating nursing activities with practitioners. Ensure that Infection Control/Exposure Plans are understood and followed by staff. Prepare clinical staff schedules.<BR><BR>6. Assist in hiring new employees and coordinate subsequent training and orientation programs. Conduct employee performance evaluations for supervised staff. Follow-up to ensure that<BR> appropriate actions are taken following the review.<BR><BR><BR>7. Review departmental supply requisitions. Track and analyze clinical staff expenses.<BR><BR>8. Participate in required meetings and professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations. Attend conferences and workshops.
