Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientation, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present. Focus on location growth and interdepartmental cooperation or interaction. The Sales Manager provides leadership and direction for the location?s inside and outside departments. In addition, the Sales Manager performs all the essential functions of an Outside Sales Representative, which are: aggressively grows sales and promotes the Milgard brand; act as a Milgard business representative for the window distribution channel; manages accounts and provides customer service to Milgard dealers.<BR><BR>KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:<BR>? Responsible for: developing people; improving processes; reducing costs; quality monitoring and improvements; new product development and implementation; superior customer service; and on-time delivery.<BR>? Train and develop team members for succession.<BR>? Strategically develop and execute a plan to establish and grow market share and revenues.<BR>? Implement productivity, quality improvement and cost savings projects. Ability to successfully formulate and carry out action plans.<BR>? Develops and manages budget for departments of responsibility.<BR>? Reviews production costs and production quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant.<BR>? Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.<BR>? Supervise all personnel in the Sales Department, either directly or through department supervisors/managers. Lead and motivate medium to large groups.<BR>? Incorporates Milgard?s vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard philosophy.<BR>? Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, terminating, disciplining and coaching employees.<BR>? Participates in the Leadership Development Program (LDP) for the location.<BR>? Creates and executes MPS objectives, meeting MPS commitments and working within the guidelines of MPS; reflects Milgard business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions.<BR>? Manage existing customer base and develop new markets. Develop ad campaigns and strategies.<BR>? Develop sales forecasts, budgets, sales policies and sales incentive programs.
