You will get the opportunity to use your investigative and negotiation skills in a fast paced environment while protecting the assets of the company.  We offer variety in your position - in the people you interact with and the cases you handle. This position concentrates on Auto Liability Non-Injury (ALNI) claims with an opportunity to handle both 1st and 3rd party losses. Common claims handled include tow claims, insured single vehicle auto losses, clear liability claims and CAT claims. In addition to a wide range of benefits, as a direct employee, your insurance education and training are paid by Liberty Mutual.<BR><BR> Responsibilities:<BR> In this Inside Claims Representative role you will:<BR> * Reviews and administratively sets-up claims in software tracking system and writes or revises the brief description of loss to ensure that it accurately reflects the actual circumstances.<BR> * Assesses policy coverage for submitted claims and notifies the insured of any issues; determines and establishes reserve requirements, adjusting reserves, as necessary, during the processing of the claim. <BR> * Obtains information and maintains accurate records about accidents from customers and claimants through telephone and written reports. <BR> * Arranges appraisals, reviews appraisal reports and communicates with customers, claimants, physicians, medical providers, attorneys and repair shops, etc.<BR> * Secures the essential facts about accidents, assesses liability/compensability, negotiates settlements and explains denials to policyholders and claimants.  Refers files to dedicated claims groups as needed (Subrogation, Total Loss, PIP/Med Pay, etc.).<BR> * Documents claims file with first report; outlining facts, coverage and action plan for claim resolution.<BR> * Reviews pending claims, updates claims file, executes on outstanding items, and moves files to closure expediently. Ensures payments processed as needed or inputs payments within authority.<BR> * Special assignments or projects as assigned.<BR> * Performs other duties as assigned.<BR><BR>Please note that as part of our application process for this position, you may be asked to fill out an employment questionnaire that may take up to 45 minutes to complete.<BR><BR>REQUIRED SKILLS:<BR>Qualifications:<BR> * High School Diploma with 1-3 years customer service, insurance knowledge or equivalent work experience, Bachelor Degree preferred.<BR> * Completion of formal training program or two years related experience required.<BR> * Some experience in claims adjustment, general insurance or formal claims training.<BR> * May be required to be licensed in states serviced.<BR> * Pursuing continuing education courses leading to industry certifications (e.g., AEI, IIA, CPCU).<BR> * General knowledge of claims investigation techniques and legal aspects of claims.</font></td>
