<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b> <BR><BR>An educational institution located in Snohomish County is looking to hire a Maintenance Custodian. This position performs custodial duties; performs minor maintenance and repairs to buildings, facilities, and equipment; performs project work, setups and moves; and responds to unscheduled or emergency cleaning and repair needs. Each custodian is assigned a specific work area in which they are responsible for completing all custodial duties. Floor surfaces are carpet, tile, concrete, terrazzo, wood, and concrete.<BR><BR>Custodial Work: <BR><BR>Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms. Clean a variety of surfaces that include floors, baseboards, chalk boards, white boards, erasers, vents, ledges, walls, furniture, and windows inside and out, etc. Remove trash and clean trash containers up to 55 gal. in size. Sweep outside entrances and sidewalks. Replace lights and clean fixtures and diffusers. Set up, take down, and move furniture and equipment for meetings, classes, conferences, and events. Move furniture, equipment, and heavy objects weighing 100 pounds or more to clean, relocate, or set up offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, as well as perform processes necessary to complete required tasks. Clean carpets, and refinish floors using appropriate methods and procedures. <BR><BR>Maintenance Work:<BR><BR>This position performs a variety of routine maintenance work involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and machinery. Examples of this work include repairing and maintaining a variety of custodial equipment, such as auto-scrubbers, vacuums, buffers, etc. including replacing drive wheels, switches, motors, etc. This position is also required to unclog drains and sewer lines, repair/replace light fixtures & ballasts, partitions, plumbing etc. install whiteboards, bulletin boards, dispensers, etc, move furniture and attach misc. items to various facility walls.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS: </b><BR><BR>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<BR><BR>- 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Custodian, or equivalent.<BR>- Physical ability to do the required work.<BR><BR>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<BR><BR>- Knowledge of cleaning agents and chemicals.<BR>- Experience with large institution custodial standards and requirements.<BR>- Experience repairing custodial or similar equipment and machines.<BR>- Experience performing minor building maintenance and repairs, such as repairing electrical circuits, waterlines, plumbing fixtures and lights.<BR><BR>Position requires standing and walking for long periods of time; bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing and pulling; climbing ladders and operating a one-person hydraulic lift at heights over 20 feet; and working on equipment with small parts and limited space. Lifting 100 pounds or more for sustained periods of time to move furniture, equipment and supplies is essential. Working around loud noises and exposure to dust and dirt is a routine part of this position, and the use of cleaning chemicals and solvents is essential. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Driving a departmental vehicle with a manual transmission will be necessary and requires a valid Washington State driver's license. <BR><BR><BR><b>HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:</b><BR><BR>40 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.<BR><BR><b>SALARY / WAGE / BENEFITS:</b><BR><BR>Salary range 30. $2,113 - $2,642 per month, plus a benefits package including tuition waiver for college classes.
