There are 27 providers and approximately 60 staff working together in a team-based structure. Applicant must enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and feel comfortable with constant change and innovation. General Internal Medicine staff work in close partnership with supervising MD''s. The applicant must have good clinical judgment and enjoy the challenge of using and learning new clinical skills.<BR><BR>The Medical Assistant assists providers and other members of the health care team in clinic offices by performing a variety of back office, patient-related tasks and ensuring smooth patient and work flow within the department.<BR><BR>Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program required. One year experience in a health care environment required. Must be eligible for Washington State certification as a Health Care Assistant Levels A, C, and E, including completion of required Washington State AIDS training. Must submit application for certification as Health Care Assistant Levels A, C, and E within two weeks of hire. Knowledge of third party payer requirements required. Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently, required. Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills required. Skill in using a PC required.<BR><BR>Certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred. </font></td>
