               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">JOB SUMMARY:   The CAD/CAM Design & Development Engineer is responsible for the accurate transformation of customer engineering design data into drawings, NC programs, tooling and instructions for the efficient and safe manufacture of formed sheet-metal, machined  (3, 4 & 5 axis), and assembled parts and subcomponents meeting all customer requirements.<BR><BR>Essential Functions and Responsibilities:<BR>*Create and maintain CNC mill and lathe programs and setup sheets in a CATIA V6/Enovia environment for accurate production of machined parts, consistent with company and customer standards.<BR>*Interpret specifications, including but not limited to engineering drawings, customer CAD files, and models.<BR>*Prioritize work to ensure output is supporting production, quality, and delivery requirements in accordance with schedules.<BR>*Design and produce tooling and fixtures as required.<BR>*Communicate with customers as needed.<BR>*Other duties as may be assigned by Management.<BR><BR>Minimum Qualifications:<BR>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  <BR><BR>*Prior experience in CAM programming (Mastercam X4), tool design for 3, 4 and 5 axis machined parts manufacturing - preferably in the Aerospace industry.<BR>*Solid background and experience working with CAD packages, AutoCAD, CATIA V5/V6 or SolidWorks.<BR>*Basic knowledge and experience developing and using aerospace engineering design and control processes.<BR>*Ability to produce written reports, technical documents, specifications, test plans, etc.<BR>*Ability to utilize and manage engineering control elements of an ERP system.<BR>*Excellent verbal and presentation communication skills are required.<BR><BR><BR>Highly Desirable Attributes:<BR><BR>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: <BR>*In-depth knowledge of sheet metal/machining manufacturing processes and equipment.<BR>*Project Management experience. <BR>*Preparing cost estimates for non-recurring and recurring project elements.<BR>*Experience with PDM systems relating to; bills of material, engineering data.<BR>*Thorough understanding and acceptance of business and personal ethics associated with the engineering function. <BR>*Seeks continuous improvement and change; suggests and encourages innovative ideas for products/processes.  Seeks data from several sources to make informed decisions.<BR>*Has the ability to view problems from a total business perspective, considering economic opportunity, required investment, risks and anticipated paybacks.<BR><BR>Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Work experience and history will be considered to some extent in lieu a formal degree.<BR><BR>Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, presentations and procedure manuals including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.<BR><BR>Math Ability:  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.<BR><BR>Other Computer Skills:  Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel in a Windows 7 environment; preferred expertise in utilizing MS Project; General understanding of enterprise software (ERP/MRP systems).</font></td>
