<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">REQUIREMENTS: * Experience transitioning a company from a distributor-to-dealer model to shipping directly to the end user * A background in developing global logistics programs to drive down cost * Working knowledge of SAP (or other ERP system) * A minimum of ten years of distribution / logistics experience * A minimum of five years of managing others * Bachelor's degree required; Major in Business, Logistics, Finance, Material Handling or Manufacturing Engineering preferred. * Demonstrated ability to design and lay out distribution facilities and best-in-class operations * Demonstrated excellence in leadership and project management * Apply Lean principles in all projects * Demonstrated ability to apply continuous improvement in a leadership role * Demonstrated strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation. Credibility with internal stakeholders and external audiences; comfortable meeting with and presenting to executives and senior management * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Demonstrated ability as a change agent, possessing the strategic, analytical and teamwork skills needed to drive major decisions across the organization * Must be able to develop and foster an environment of team work among the procurement group * Stand for the success of employees by providing feedback, development opportunities, and recognition; counseling and coaching employees as needed JOB DUTIES: * Develop and implement a formal, global, multiple DC logistics strategy. * Apply a total systems approach to designing and managing the entire flow of distribution. * Manage global transportation operations. * Participate in global Continuous Improvement initiatives, integrating best practices at each location. * Supervisory duties include: selection and onboarding of qualified employees, training via internal and external resources, providing performance feedback in annual reviews, administering salaries per policy. * Must be able to travel to global locations on a frequent basis. EMPLOYER COMMENTS: The Director of Global Logistics is responsible for the global logistics operation and all of its activities; including distribution operations, transportation, fixed assets, financial audit control of inventory, and customer satisfaction to all Company International customers. This position supports the overall organizational objectives by providing strategic alternatives to meet the distribution needs of the business (B2B/B2C).
