At our facilities, people are truly our most valuable assets.<BR><BR>We are looking for a DOG & CAT DEPARTMENT MANAGER who's responsibilities include achievement of the dog and cat departmentA?s budgeted sales goals, gross margin, merchandise and shrink targets. Will also manage inventory levels, reported budgeted expense rates and budgeted contribution. Accountable for driving sales and for the overall effective operations within the area of dog and cat food, litter, supplies, toys, treats, rawhide, containment, apparel, etc. Will perform all other tasks or projects as assigned.<BR><BR> <BR> <b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>* MINIMUM 6 months Retail Management or Animal Care Management experience<BR>* High school diploma or its equivalent (GED).<BR>* Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pull 2000 lbs utilizing  ***  material handling equipment. ***<BR>* Previous experience in retail setting as a department manager, team lead or sales associate.<BR>* Successful completion of all four company Companion Animal Specialist certifications.<BR>* Experience supervising associates, or demonstrating an aptitude for training, motivation and sales technologies, analytical abilities as well as a professional appearance and demeanor.<BR>* Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle (for operation of company vehicles) .<BR><BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>Specific animal care degree or education with extensive retail experience <BR><BR><b>HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:</b><BR> Flexible schedule - varies based on needs of the store<BR><BR><b>SALARY / WAGE / BENEFITS:</b> <BR>Completive Wages dependent on qualifications.
