These endeavors have been around for centuries and will continue to be a vital part of the global economy. Their current position is available in Moses Lake, WA plant. <BR><BR>RESPONSIBILITIES:<BR><BR>Under the direction of the Regional Unit Director and Corporate Regulatory Affairs, this position manages people, projects, and programs, and plans and directs the environmental functions of two plants including the operation of an anaerobic digester and two land application systems. <BR><BR>The incumbent is responsible for the Simplot Sustainable Environmental Management System, Risk Management Program, wastewater treatment operations, air permitting and reporting, EPCRA reporting, storm water pollution prevention, spill prevention controls and countermeasures, and hazardous waste. <BR><BR>The Environmental Manager is accountable for implementing the organizationA?s environmental compliance strategies as well as policies, procedures, and systems to maintain and enhance environmental performance of the organization. <BR><BR>This manager is responsible for contributing to a safe work place and ensuring environmental compliance.<BR><BR><b>HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:</b><BR>FT, 40 hrs per week. This person may potentially work weekends, off shifts and some holidays. Must be flexible and willing to alter schedule on a short notice.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering, Chemistry or Environmental Science<BR>* Minimum of five years of experience/training in environmental engineering or related field.<BR>* Must have a strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and regulations, especially air regulations<BR>* Must be able to accurately define problems, collect data, interpret analytical results, draw valid conclusions, and make reasonable recommendations to upper management that support the production goals of the Company<BR>* Must be able to work professionally and effectively with regulators, special interest groups and members of the public. <BR>* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills<BR>* Must be capable of and willing to respond to emergencies during off shifts, weekend, and/or holidays<BR><BR><BR><b>SALARY / WAGE / BENEFITS:</b> <BR>Competitive wages, to be discussed and determined at time of interview.
