               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">VP EXEMPT NON EXCLUSIVE<BR><BR><b>** NURSING PROGRAM ONLINE INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER **</b><BR>Full-time, grant-funded, exempt position (non-tenure track) <BR><BR><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b><BR>This position is part of the instructional team for a "career ladder" healthcare program for those entering the nursing profession.  This position is responsible for leading and implementing online and distance instruction in a variety of healthcare areas and situations through lecture, lab and clinical instruction.  <BR><b>HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:</b><BR>8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings/weekends <BR>Full-time, 12 month renewable contract (pro-rated for first year).  Position contingent upon grant funding; grant currently funded through September 30, 2015.  <BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>At the time of application, all applicants MUST possess the following:<BR>* A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.<BR>* A current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in Washington State or be able to attain prior to employment.<BR>* At least two years of full-time equivalent experience as a registered nurse and evidence of current clinical skills in nursing, particularly in medical and surgical areas.<BR>* Previous experience designing curriculum.<BR>* Strong technology skills especially in accessing and utilizing educational technologies.<BR>* Demonstrated ability to work well with students and colleagues.<BR><BR>THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>* Experience teaching computer based or online classes<BR>* Experience designing curriculum at the college level<BR>* Three years successful teaching experience, preferably at a post-secondary Hispanic Serving Institution<BR>* Experience supporting faculty in instructional design and/or technology training<BR>* Working knowledge of a variety of computer tools applied to learning<BR>* Knowledge of learning management systems<BR>* Knowledge of emerging technologies as related to teaching and learning<BR>* Ability to work in a team and establish collegial relationships with faculty and staff<BR>* Experience with Hispanic, low income students and at-risk students<BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>* A Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.<BR>* Teaching experience within the last three years in a community college or post-secondary setting, preferably at a Hispanic-serving Institution (HSI).<BR>* Experience with learning technologies, distance education and computer applications for instructional purposes.<BR>* traditional classes with interactive multimedia presentations and Internet resources.<BR>* Demonstrated ability to get students excited about learning.<BR>* Bilingual fluency, especially in Spanish.<BR><BR><b>SALARY / WAGE / BENEFITS:</b> <BR>$48,500 - $58,500 DOE for a full-time, 12-month renewable contract (pro-rated for first year).  Position contingent upon grant funding; grant currently funded through September 30, 2015.<BR>Excellent benefits package<BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE / DEADLINE:</b><BR>OPEN UNTIL FILLED<BR>First Review of Applications will begin WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2012 at 12:00 NOON and continue until a suitable applicant pool is identified.<BR>Employer reserves the right to offer this position to a qualified candidate at ANY TIME, so your PROMPT RESPONSE is encouraged.<BR>For INITIAL REVIEW ONLY: application materials must be received by 12 noon on October 10th date. <BR>*** Materials received AFTER the deadline will still be accepted. ***<BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY:</b><BR>Contact WorkSource office for more information on how to apply.<BR><b>For specific application instructions, you must contact your local WorkSource office directly.
