The technician should be skilled in the unit dose medication process, IV admixture (including chemotherapy), and have experience with pharmacy automation. <BR> <BR>QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: <BR>1. High school diploma or equivalent.<BR>2. Completion of technician training program (formal or BOP approved on the job training) required.<BR>3. 2-3 years pharmacy technician experience in a heath-system preferred, but not required.<BR>4. Previous experience with pharmacy automation preferred.<BR><BR>LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS: <BR> Currently licensed to practice in the state of<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Washington. <BR>Technician national certification encouraged but not required.<BR><BR>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <BR>1. Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods.<BR>2. Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff.<BR>3. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities and solve problems.<BR>4. Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.<BR>5. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).<BR>6. Ability to assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of a variety of patients and departments. </font></td>
