               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Vet exempt non-exclusive<BR><BR> <b> PURCHASING MANAGER, MOSES LAKE, WA  FT </b><BR><BR> <b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b><BR>Employer is a diverse, privately held organization, with roots firmly planted in agriculture and agriculture-related businesses.  These endeavors have been around for centuries and will continue to be a vital part of the global economy.  They currently have a PURCHASING MANAGER position open at their Moses Lake, WA facility.<BR><BR>Overview:<BR>This Purchasing Manager is in charge of providing the potato processing plants with supplies. This person develops relationships with suppliers and finds the best deals for the company. The incumbent keeps track of inventory and purchases supplies when necessary to keep these two plants running. <BR><BR><b>HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:</b><BR>Full-time<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>Skill/Experience Requirements:<BR>-   Bachelor's degree and five plus years related purchasing/procurement experience and/or training, to include contract negotiations. <BR>-  CPM/CPIM certifications are preferred. <BR>-  Supervisory experience is preferred. <BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR>-  Meet with suppliers to maintain relationships and to analyze quotes and service. Analyze buying effectively to ensure best quality, yield, and value are being purchased. Conduct ongoing research, testing, and inspection of goods and services. <BR>-  Act as a packaging and art liaison between suppliers, customers, designers, and printers. <BR>-  Maintain purchasing information system. Monitor and maintain inventory levels at guidelines established to ensure an adequate supply. <BR>-  Assist Division Procurement Manager in developing Division purchasing policies/procedures and assures that production locations are in compliance and support Division goals and objectives. Minimize corporate liability associated with the procurement function (i.e., Certificate of Insurance, guarantees, etc.). <BR>-  Manage supply selection, contract negotiation, price negotiation, and cost reduction programs for all key ingredients and manufacturing supplies on a Division-wide basis to ensure high value for each dollar spent to attain a competitive advantage and to support Division goals and objectives. <BR>-  Assist in development programs and partnerships with suppliers of key ingredients and manufacturing supplies. This includes evaluation of supplier performance, communication of Division goals/needs, selection of primary suppliers, developing cost reduction programs, and ongoing evaluation and measurement of partnership accomplishments and constant improvement. <BR>-   Assist in the development and training of plant purchasing staff with the goal of maintaining a high degree of excellence to meet the present and future needs of the Division.
