 <td align="left">VP EXEMPT Seafood Processors, Alaska *** Employer is looking to hire 300 to 400 seasonal employees *** JOB LOCATION: Dutch Harbor, Alaska JOB DESCRIPTION Land-based processing plant: will cut, gut, clean, and grade fish. Season begins in January 2013 and contracted through May 2013 (5 month contract). Employer will provide transportation from Seattle. Dormitory style housing and cafeteria meals are provided. A small daily room and board fee may be charged. Protective gear is provided at no cost. BASIC FUNCTION: Performs primary role in offloading, processing, storage, and shipping of seafood. Operate equipment, maintaining safe, efficient production and uniform product quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Perform repetitious assigned jobs on the production line. May work at a variety of positions of work stations throughout a contract period. 2. Cooperate with Production Leads and coworkers to ensure efficient and safe production. 3. Cooperate in the training of new employees in various positions, including specific job duties, proper work habits, sanitation, and safety standards, by setting a good example. 4. Ensure supplies are adequate and readily available. 5. Cooperate with Production Leads in personnel line rotation to minimize inefficiency. 6. Maintain communication with other production personnel to coordinate activities. 7. Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policy by closely monitoring the safe use of equipment and work habits in and around the work area. Responsible for staying abreast of current company policies as they relate to safety. 8. Assist in supporting and implementing Everyday Focus activities. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE: Days and night shifts available. JOB REQUIRMENTS * Proof of authorization to work in the United States must be presented upon hire. * Physically able to stand and work for shifts of up to 16 hours of repetitive motion. * Tolerance to work in cold, wet and humid conditions. * Must be able to speak, read, and write English to maintain a safe workplace for employees or customers. * Will need to pass a drug test upon hiring WAGE/BENEFITS Starting hourly rate in Alaska is $7.75 per hour with overtime paid at $11.62 per hour. All hours worked in excess of 8 straight time hours in a day will be paid at the overtime rate of 1 1/2 times the base pay rate. Medical / Dental / Vision benefits available upon meeting employers eligibility. Can be discussed with employer at orientation time.
