We''re currently hiring a Marine Diesel Mechanic, to serve a Field Service Engineer and to be stationed in designated locations throughout North America. You''ll be part of a company who maximizes the environmental and economic performance of the vessels and power plants of its customers. With that said, you''ll be responsible for the following tasks: Perform Mechanical maintenance and/or troubleshooting on products. Overhaul diesel engine and components in workshop and at site/on board including some in situ machining. Carry out engine product troubleshooting, routine maintenance & components investigation. Check and adjust relevant systems (i.e. auxiliary, propulsion). Perform pre-commissioning of installations; Mechanical commissioning. Prepare Service reports and travel expenses on time and with expected quality. Identify failures, making adjustments, assist on trial runs and testing of Mechanical installations according to instructions. Provide internal and external work reports according to company standards; Perform site audits. Collect, organize time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required. Report executed work according to company standards. Will be required to travel in the United States and abroad.<BR><BR>Requirements:<BR>Must have BS degree + 1 year of related experience, or AS degree and 2 years of experience, or High School Diploma /Technical / Vocational school (preferably Marine, Mechanical or USCG), plus 5 years of related experience. Mechanical engineer on Marine Diesel Engine or Propulsion. Mechanical technical experience on Power Plants. Intensive engine specific and practical training and experience on large ships. Must have experience with large marine diesel engine tear downs. Must have experience with low to medium speeds as well. Strong knowledge of Marine diesel engine types and their auxiliaries. Excellent communication skills & customer relations. Motivated to learn and grow professionally.
