<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">PC Technician<BR><BR><BR>Robert Half Technology is currently seeking several PC Technicians for a client''s upcoming migration project.<BR><BR>Project OVERVIEW: Hardware Lifecycle Management and Windows 7 upgrade (two tasks on one machine) <BR><BR>Upgrading approx. 200 end users from T500 laptops to new Lenovo T430s and moving from Windows XP to Windows 7 and Office 2010<BR><BR>Prep work:<BR>Unpacking equipment from pallets (Ability to lift 25-50 pounds) <BR>Disposing of excess packaging materials<BR>Pulling asset tags off older machines and correctly destroying into our Total Reclaim recycling bin<BR>Scheduling time with associates to get the upgrade completed<BR>Interviewing developer/upgrade candidates to determine how they wish for the deployment to take place, what is needed on the install<BR>Reviewing application scans to confirm compatibility<BR>Pulling media for any manual software installs<BR>Bare metal imaging with PXE Server; May utilize our existing ZTI (Zero Touch Install) image solution<BR>Following Checklist to ensure compliance and proper image is built on machine <BR><BR>Upgrade and Hardware swaps:<BR>Transferring data between older machine to newer<BR>Hardware swaps <BR>Troubleshooting as needed<BR>Daily reporting out status to ensure target upgrade is on schedule <BR><BR>Post Upgrade<BR>Follow up Day 1 to verify all working as expected<BR>Pulling hard drives out of older machine and correctly destroying per process<BR>Documenting changes in Active Directory <BR>Tracking in SharePoint of the upgrades <BR>Assisting core support team with Break/Fix as time allows <BR>End of Life original machines<BR><BR>Additional Information<BR><BR>Location: Mountlake Terrace, WA<BR><BR><BR>Job ID: 04400-117837<BR><BR><BR>Experience: Experience<BR>5 years Help Desk experience, Lab management, Network, Desk Side Support. Field Technical Support <BR>Must have experience upgrading user base from XP to Windows 7 <BR><BR>Tools:<BR>Windows Easy Transfer Cable (heavy use)<BR>Sata Driver Reader (troubleshooting failed hard drives)<BR>Get Data Back (minimal use for HDD fails)<BR><BR>Software<BR>Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit and Windows XP<BR>CRM <BR>Remote desktop<BR>Remote assistance<BR>Windows SCCM <BR>Active Directory <BR>Update BIOS/video drivers, etc as needed<BR>Symantec PGP Encryption<BR><BR>Network Troubleshooting:<BR>Basic; ability to Change NIC speeds, auto detect, full duplex, Connect, WIFI connections<BR><BR><BR>Active Directory: Basic AD experience<BR>Update Object description, move objects between OUs<BR><BR>General skills:<BR>Customer facing <BR>Detailed oriented<BR>Task oriented <BR>Critical to be able to multi-task and work multiple tickets/deployments at once. <BR>Ability to understand time is critical and when to escalate if issues arise that present roadblocks to meeting the metrics for the day<BR><BR>Expected: 6-10 upgrades minimum per day per Deployment Technician<BR><BR>Must be flexible on hours (night shift, 6am start, Mon-Sat, 4-10s, Tues-Sat, 4-12a, depending on scheduled needs. This will be determined as we progress into the project.
