 <td align="left">This position will provide technical assistance, education and outreach on household hazardous materials, environmental public health, and other education on public health issues as they arise such as chronic disease prevention, flu, etc. Responsibilities include use of technical knowledge and skills to implement, evaluate, revise, and coordinate environmental health education, communication/outreach and behavior change programs that range from emergency preparedness with other health professionals to outreach with childcare facilities, retailers, schools, and community groups. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in education, public health, environmental health, environmental science, or other closely related field. Additional experience can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Must have three years experience working in public health, environmental issues, or other related field promoting education, outreach, media campaign, public relations or other comparable experiences to successfully perform duties and responsibilities of the classification. Must have the ability to utilize a personal computer with related software to perform the essential functions of the position. Current Washington State Driver’s License or have requested and obtained an appropriate accommodation. Describe your public speaking, presentation, or other communications experience. Please describe the types of groups (age, size of audience), the types of settings, the duration of the presentations, and an average yearly number of presentations given. Describe your strategies for actively engaging varying audiences and ensuring they will use the information provided. 3. Describe your experience creating education and outreach materials such as press releases, flyers, articles, fact sheets, brochures, media campaigns, websites, social media, video, etc. Include a description of your roles in team projects. 4. Describe your experience working to create a community change (in behavior, environment or policy) and what steps you took to be effective. 5. Describe your experience working with a coalition or other group to establish shared goals, undertake a project, and evaluate the outcomes. 6. Note if you have experience working with the topics listed below.
