               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">The closing date for this position has been extended from October 19, 2012, to November 2, 2012.  This position is responsible for the coordination and administrative functions of a comprehensive housing program in Thurston County.  This program requires someone who possesses relevant skills and required knowledge in housing including; extensive knowledge of federal and state housing regulations (including HOME, CDBG and HEN, CHG and ESG programs), contract/RFP development and monitoring skills, stakeholder and service provider coordination, data management, community development, and effective written and verbal communication skills.  Individual must be able to provide technical assistance to community service providers and elected officials on matters pertaining to ending homelessness and the development of affordable housing opportunities.<BR><BR> <BR><BR>QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>Bachelor’s degree in business, social work, public administration, or related field.<BR><BR>Two or more years in contract management, including construction contract management and program evaluation involving complex regulations or operation of nonprofit organizations.  Experience with grant funding, housing and/or community development is desired.<BR><BR>Should have working knowledge of basic construction and federal and state laws and regulations in regards to US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs.  Must be able to interpret and apply the intent and specific provisions of laws and regulatory provisions to particular conditions affecting the department.<BR><BR>Ability to operate a personal computer to identify resources, research and locate laws, regulations, data and information relevant to specific projects or situations and perform essential functions of the position. <BR><BR>Ability to utilize a personal computer with applicable software to successfully perform essential job functions of the position including word processing, spread sheet, analysis, information retrieval, and tracking.  <BR><BR>Current Washington State Driver’s License or have requested and obtained an appropriate accommodation.<BR><BR> <BR><BR>SELECTION PROCESS:<BR>To be considered for this position, please submit the following: <BR> <BR>1 Application<BR>1  Letter of Interest<BR><BR>1 Supplemental Questionnaire<BR>1  Resume<BR><BR>1 Disclosure Form<BR><BR><BR>Submit application package to: Thurston County Information Desk, 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Olympia, WA  98502.  Application package must be received by 5 p.m. on the closing date listed above.  Postmarks will not be accepted.  Electronically submitted application packages will not be accepted.<BR><BR> <BR><BR>APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:  <BR>A separate application must be fully completed for EACH POSITION for which you are applying.  Resumes may be used to supplement an application, but may not be used in lieu of completing the application form.  Copies of applications will be accepted only with an original signature.  If a supplemental questionnaire is required, it must be submitted with your Thurston County application by the closing date.  Applications are available online at www.co.thurston.wa.us.  Applicants selected for interviews and/or testing will normally be called or otherwise notified within two weeks following the closing date on the employment bulletin.   <BR><BR>Supplemental Questionnaire<BR><BR>1.
