               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">VP Exempt Non Exclusive<BR><BR> <b>MAINTENANCE MECHANIC TRAINEE</b><BR><BR><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b><BR>Global leader among food processors, has an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic Trainee at its potato facility in Othello, WA. <BR><BR>Entry-level position within the Maintenance department assisting senior mechanics with the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of processing machinery and equipment while learning the basic use of hand tools and shop tools. The Maintenance Mechanic Trainee will be introduced to performing structurally sound welds, acceptable metal cutting techniques using appropriate welding equipment. As competence is gained increased accountability of work assignments and degree of difficulty will follow. The long-term goal is to provide exposure to total department activities to include use of prints, schematics, OEM manuals, log entries, and work documentation. Learning to troubleshoot and maintain industrial machinery are the principle activities of the position.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>* High School diploma or GED; and six months to one year related <BR> experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education <BR> and experience.  (REQUIRED - NO EXCEPTIONS)<BR>* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, <BR> operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to<BR> select appropriate information, identify basic concepts, relevant <BR> details, facts, and specifications to follow instructions. <BR>* Ability to write information-recording data accurately and completely <BR> on forms/surveys/computer text entries and prepare messages or <BR> simple documents. <BR>* Ability to speak effectively to express appropriate verbal/nonverbal <BR> messages, explain concepts, and actively participate in discussion.<BR>* Ability to perform basic math operations of addition, subtraction. <BR> Understand and work with fractions and decimals to make settings, <BR> select machine drive components and correctly size tools.
