Please plan accordingly when you apply. </b> <BR><BR>CASHIER, PART-TIME POSITION (Y)<BR><BR><b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b><BR>Very busy Truck Stop establishment is in need of a Part-Time Cashier who will be available to work day, evening or graveyard shifts as assigned. Main duties are to greet customers, add up purchases  with register, take payment, make change and operate weight scale for a busy diesel and gasoline fueling station serving over the road truckers and the general public.  Process all fuel, store and cash advance transactions. Process all truck scale/weight transactions operating a cat scale according to company policies and guidelines. Must be able to work under pressure, independently and able to multi-task. Other duties will include lifting boxes of merchandise to stock shelves, cleaning the work areas and showers available for the truck drivers. Only serious applicants need to apply.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS</b><BR>*21 years of age to sell alcohol.<BR><BR>*1 year experience in cashiering with the use of cash registers or POS (Point-of-Sale) system, cash or check sales transactions and electronic scanning and processing of credit or debit card transactions. <BR><BR>*Availability for assignment to day, evening or graveyard shifts, including week-ends, weekdays and weeknights, as scheduled.<BR><BR>*Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers to provide outstanding customer service.<BR><BR>*Must be able to work independently and be able to multi-task.<BR><BR>*Must be able to pass a background check.<BR><BR>*Able to lift up to 50 lbs.<BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</b><BR>*Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.<BR><BR>*Previous truck stop, cat scale, and diesel fueling station experience.<BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE</b><BR>Graveyard shift; 10 p.m.- 6:15 a.m. Two to three days/week as scheduled with supervisor.<BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS</b><BR>$9.04/Hour/DOE/ plus benefits after 6 months. <BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE/DEADLINE:</b><BR>The recruitment period will remain active until filled, expired or at the direction of the employer.  <BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY/REQUEST A REFERRAL:</b><BR>Contact your nearest WorkSource Office in person with this job order number for referral instructions to complete a company application. <BR><BR>If you are referred to this position, your name will be shared with the employer for verification and follow up purposes.<BR><BR></font></td>
