Also provides for skilled technical assistance and patient monitoring in an acute care setting under the direction of a RN. Performs a variety of duties to assist in the efficient operation of the Emergency Department (ER).<BR>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES:<BR>Assure that patient''s direct care needs are met within the scope of practice<BR>Assist with patient care as directed following policy and procedure of department<BR>Assist providers and nursing staff with clinical procedures within the NAC scope of practice<BR>Demonstrate appropriate communication skills in performance of duty<BR>Order and maintain stock levels in the ER<BR>Demonstrate responsibility for continued professional growth<BR>Demonstrate knowledge of quality principles and role models these principles<BR>Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and specific needs of the patients served.<BR>Demonstrate teamwork skills<BR>Demonstrate effectual time and resource utilization<BR>Assist team members with interpretation of plan of care to Spanish-Speaking patients and families when possible<BR>Maintain records accurately<BR>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>Certified Nursing Assistant in Washington State<BR>Current BLS<BR>Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking<BR>Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently<BR>Ability to work with a culturally diverse population<BR><BR>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>Recent experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting as a NAC </font></td>
