Here is what it takes to make the cut: a commitment to continuous learning and quality, a focus on the customer, flexibility and good relationships with others.<BR>Apply for openings on computers in the Employee Resource Center<BR>SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:<BR>* Assembling components of log splitters using hand tools, gauges and air tools.<BR>* Performing quality checks consistent with the operator quality instructions.<BR>* Inventory/replenishing parts to assembly stations.<BR>* Read orders and schematics to determine assembly procedures such as component types and configuration, mounting locations and clearances required.<BR>* Assemble and fit parts and components to form completed assemblies.<BR>* Wear all safety equipment as specified and directed.<BR>* Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.<BR>* From information provided, stage necessary component parts / material in a manner which allows for the smooth flow of order activities through the assembly / manufacturing process.<BR>EDUCATION:<BR>* High school diploma or GED highly preferred.<BR>* Minimum of six months experience within a metal or component assembly position within a very similar work environment<BR>EXPERIENCE:<BR>* Demonstration of basic computer skills (navigation, data entry)<BR>* Demonstrated competency in use of hand and power tools<BR>* Demonstrated experience working with detailed schematics and other written instructions to complete work in proper sequence<BR>* Demonstration of ability to safely and competently operate a Narrow-Reach forklift and overhead hoist<BR>* Ability to identify and correct quality issues during the assembly process.<BR>* Ability to work with minimal supervision<BR>* Ability to function productively as part of a fast-paced team work flow<BR>* Demonstration of mechanical aptitude.<BR>* Demonstrated experience in building devices per drawings or schematics or detailed work instructions.<BR>* Demonstrated ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a repetitive basis for entire work shift<BR><BR>SKILLS NEEDED:<BR>* Arm-Hand Steadiness— The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.<BR>* Finger Dexterity— The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.<BR>* Manual Dexterity— The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.<BR>* Near Vision— The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).<BR>* Oral Comprehension— The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.<BR>* Visualization— The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its </font></td>
