               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Assistant/Associate Professor<BR> <BR>Department Pediatrics-Division of Pediatric Metabolism<BR> <BR>Location CDRC 3107<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Salary: Commensurate with experience; Location: Marquam Hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This position works under the supervision of the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Metabolism, Dr. David Koeller. The primary responsibilities for this position will be divided between the research and education missions of the Division of Metabolism. Expectations include; 1) Development of a funded, independent, clinical, basic, or translational research program; 2) Development and implementation of an educational curriculum in genetics and metabolism for fellows, residents, and students; 3) Successful application for an ACGME approved Medical Biochemical Genetics fellowship program, for which the successful candidate with serve as program director. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to teaching of medical students and house staff through conferences, seminars, and interdepartmental activities; supervising house staff in the delivery of patient care; providing inpatient and outpatient consultative care at Doernbecher Children's Hospital; and participating as assigned in departmental and institutional administrative committees. There may be occasional assignments to consult with physicians concerning seriously ill children in other hospitals. Such consultation will be with the knowledge and permission of the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.
