The appointee shall provide services, as assigned by the supervisor, in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.<BR><BR>Pathology Informatics, 50-60% of duties<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR>This position will help lead the clinical and administrative responsibilities involving Pathology-related informatics activities at OHSU, including:<BR>?    Strategic planning for information systems and alignment with departmental priorities, working in conjunction with OHSU Information Technology Group (ITG) leadership.<BR>?    Help lead in implementation and oversight of new EPIC Laboratory Information System.<BR>?    Assessment of functional requirements and needs for laboratory information management in Department of Pathology OHSU Healthcare System<BR>?    Work with OHSU administrative leadership to set priorities and direction for departmental informatics activities; good project management skills.<BR>?    Identify developmental needs and opportunities in informatics.<BR>?    Evaluation of new technology<BR>?    Participate in configuration and implementation of project<BR>?    Foster effective and innovative implementations of information technology<BR>?    Communicate clinical and operational requirements and issues to ITG technical staff and communicating technical issues to PLMI clinical and administrative staff.<BR>?    Identify and respond to user concerns<BR>?    Liaison with the institutional Information Technology Group (ITG) regarding laboratory information management in the electronic medical record and across the Institution and Health System.<BR>                <BR>The position will be involved in the broad scope of activities of ITG including:<BR>?    Laboratory operations ? Clinical, Anatomic, and Molecular pathology<BR>?    Electronic Medical Record issues in laboratory management and integration<BR>?    OHSU laboratory and information system integration<BR>?    Pathology imaging<BR>?    Education in pathology informatics and applying informatics tools for education in pathology<BR>?    Informatics support for research and biospecimen repository<BR>?    Development and innovation in information management techniques<BR><BR>Pathology Clinical Service: 40-50% of duties<BR>This position will provide clinical services in Anatomic Pathology or Laboratory Medicine, with principal responsibilities to be determined based on areas of training, and expertise.
