Location: Marquam Hill Campus.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This position will serve as part of a unified mental health team consisting of mental health professionals (e.g. psychiatrist, psychologist and primary care providers (e.g. physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, triage nurses), working together in the Joseph B. Trainer Student Health Service to meet the acute emotional needs of health science professionals-in-training and their dependents. Clinical responsibilities include: diagnostic evaluation, liaison consultation, and medication management. The clinician will work with other members of the team to provide continuity of care as needed in coverage as well as sharing information through written and verbal communications during planned absences. At the request of the Chief of Counseling and Behavioral Health Services and the Director of Student Health Service, the clinician will serve as liaison to external programs, including the OHSU Dept. of Psychiatry and the various schools served by the Student Health Service. The psychiatrist will work with others on the team to enhance access for patients, efficient use of clinic resources, and appropriateness and effective use of outside referrals, and to help ensure the accomplishment of the overall mission, goals and objectives of the Student Health Service. (UPAR845010216).<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Board Certification in Psychiatry and Oregon Licensure. Experience in working as part of a multidisciplinary team with other physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical psychologists and nurses, and collaborating with primary care providers for medication management. Experience in managing a wide range of adult mental disorders, including acute psychotic conditions. Preferred: Experience with electronic medical records, especially EPIC. Experience with patients having eating disorders. Experience with students training as health professionals.
