This position is under the supervision of the Chair of the Department of Surgery and the Chief of the Division of Trauma, Critical Care, and Acute Care Surgery. Appointee shall be expected to perform clinical and basic science research. Duties will also include resident and staff teaching. This position requires undivided fulltime effort. The general pattern of working hours will be set by the Chief of the Division, but deviations from general patterns may be necessary to meet projected requirements. The ideal candidate should come with, or be an excellent candidate for, independent federal funding.
