<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Associate Professor/Professor<BR> <BR>Department Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology<BR> <BR>Location MNP 3223<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Salary commensurate with experience, Location: Marquam Hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine and include: participate in the education of medical students, house staff and fellows in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair. Specifically, this position will devote 50% of their time as a Phase 1 Investigator. They will be responsible to perform Phase I clinical trials and maintain a research laboratory to support these studies. This position will help to enhance the translational capabilities of OHSU basic scientists and provide leadership to expand and synergize with the successful Phase I efforts in leukemia and prostate cancer. They will also help to enhance several disease-focused programs within the Solid Tumors Program of the Knight Cancer Institute. This position will participate in the care of patients with solid tumor malignancies and be involved in administrative committees and councils of the OHSU as approved by the Chair and Division Head. They will engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with knowledge and consent of the Chair and Division Head.<BR>It is anticipated that the position will be made up of the following components: Clinical .45 FTE; Research/Service .50% Teaching .05 FTE.<BR>The job will include the following responsibilities:<BR>1. Clinical: (approximately .45 FTE) Includes: teaching time when on the ward plus:<BR>* Outpatient Clinic for the first year will include four half day clinic assignments<BR>* Attending in the Oncology Service for approximately one, two week blocks per year.<BR>2. Teaching: (approximately 0.05 FTE) This would include lectures and seminars in the BLOOD/RES course for the Hematology/Oncology Division, Department of Medicine, medical students, house officers and fellows.<BR>3. Research: (approximately 0.50 FTE) This position will provide Phase 1 leadership and time performing Phase 1 clinical trials as well as maintain a research laboratory to support these studies. They will be provided a full time research nurse, study coordinator and a laboratory-based research assistant in support of their research efforts. This position will provide expertise in the design of studies with integrated genomic and/or imaging studies and help to enhance and expand the translational capabilities of our basic scientists. They will provide synergy with the efforts in the leukemia and prostate cancer as well as several other disease focused programs within the Solid Tumors Program.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>We will seek an Associate to Professor level physician-scientist with a proven track record in translational Phase I clinic </font></td>
