Performing light janitorial duties within a specified area may also be required.<BR>RESPONSIBILITIES<BR>Clear and reset all baggage jams, security routing failures, minor faults, and other occurring BHS operation faults occurring within the Baggage Handling System.<BR>Perform a pre-start system check prior to system start-up every morning.<BR>Perform light janitorial duties within the BHS Security Screening Matrix, as directed by PAC Management.<BR>Remove bags from fault zones.<BR>Responsible for movement/removal of bags within the screening matrix of the North and South systems, as deemed appropriate between the TSA and Linc<BR>Responds in a professional, polite and helpful manner when dealing with customers.<BR>Assist in emergencies as needed.<BR>Return all work areas to a clean, neat orderly and safe condition.<BR>Inform supervisor of any conditions observed to be unsafe.<BR>Perform basic cleaning of bag room including: sweeping, removal of debris and emptying trash containers.<BR>Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving baggage<BR>Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed<BR>Learns, understands and complies with fire, safety and other emergency practices<BR>Learns, understands and complies with all Company and customer policies<BR>Participates in training directed at increasing maintenance and other job-related skills<BR>Properly identifies problems and reports to supervisor when appropriate<BR>Provides advance notice of equipment shut-down or start-up to affected areas<BR>Transport outbound oversize baggage from ticket counters to the TSA Oversize Screening area.<BR>Transport all &quot;Cleared&quot; TSA oversize baggage from the two lower level oversize conveyor systems to the appropriate airline make-up device.<BR>Keep Ticket Counter Stations supplied with baggage tubs.<BR>Circulate baggage tubs from the Lower Level baggage Make-Up carousels to the Upper Level Ticket Counters.<BR>Perform manual encoding of baggage that was missed by an automated system. Assist in the operation of baggage handling and sorting equipment.
