<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Cath Lab RN<BR>Location: Clackamas, OR<BR>To serve the needs of the health plan members and the other patients of the Kaiser Permanente Health Care Program. Under supervision is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing and evaluating nursing care for patients and coordinating nursing care activities with other health care disciplines.<BR>Essential Functions:<BR>CLINICAL ACTIVITIES<BR>- Patient assessment, implement plan of care, outcomes, safe medication administration, and care of the complex critical patient.<BR>- Take evening and weekend call, including holidays per union contract. Take after hours call.<BR>- Assist with all procedures and care for patients in the CVL, including but not limited to cardioversions, LHC, RHC, pacemakers, radiology (IR), device implants, hemodynamic studies, and interventional procedures.<BR>- Safely provide Procedure Sedation and airway rescue.<BR>- Able to recognize cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias and provide proper treatment per ACLS.<BR>- Use of specialized equipment including temporary pacers, defibrillators, IVUS, balloon pump, rotoblator, angiojet, pressure wire.<BR>- Demonstrate critical thinking and sound clinical judgment.<BR>- Maintain proficiency in Cath Lab roles: circulate, hemodynamic monitoring.<BR>- Establish basic sterile field and scrub in emergency.<BR>- Scrub as proficiency and skills allow.<BR>LEADERSHIP/COORDINATION ACTIVITIES<BR>- Orient students or new employees.<BR>- Display teamwork (e.g., actively participate in UBT).<BR>- Assist with training all staff.<BR>Qualifications:<BR>Basic Qualifications:<BR>- 1 year OF full time or the hourly equivalent of 1 year of experience within the last 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab Intervention experience.<BR>- Current ACLS and BLS with AED.<BR>- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.<BR>- Current employees who are working in this position must obtain a professional certification relevant to the patient population served in the CVL. Examples include but are not limited to CCRN (AACN-Critical Care Registered Nurse), CRN (ARIN-Radiologic Nursing Certification), Cardiac Vascular Nursing (ANA-CVN), RCIS, certification no later than December 31, 2011.<BR>- All new hires must obtain a professional certification relevant to the patient population served in the CVL. Examples include but are not limited to CCRN (AACN-Critical Care Registered Nurse), CRN (ARIN-Radiologic Nursing Certification), RCIS, certification within 8 months of hire.<BR>MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM<BR>- Hemodynamics/Monitoring; including waveform interpretation.<BR>- Advanced sedation skills.<BR>- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.<BR>- Medication management: calculation, preparation, and administration of critical care medications and drips including medications congruent with interventional procedures.<BR>- Point of care testing including but not limited to AVOX, iSTAT, Glucometer, etc.<BR>- Arterial and venous site management including sheath pulls and closure devices.<BR>- Management of peripherally inserted Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADS).<BR>- Assistance with v </font></td>
