The C.N.A.2 provides direct or general nursing care to patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a licensed nurse and within the parameters of the state licensing board. The C.N.A.2 assists the patient, patients' families, nursing staff and other support staff to assure the delivery of quality care in a safe and comfortable environment. The Specialty Float Pool C.N.A. 2 will work with patients of all ages throughout University Hospital and Doernbecher Children's Hospital, with specific assignments being made on a daily basis and based on current needs.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> REQUIRED: Current unencumbered Oregon State Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant 2 certification; current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association; Completion of a vocational triaing program in a health care support area. Reliable job history; ability to work effectively in a team environment; Basic math skills; Basic medical terminology; Ability to read, write and communicate appropriately and effectively; Intermediate computer skills; Ability to stand, walk, lift, twist and bend throughout an 8 or 12 hour shift. One (1) year in acute or long term care OR two (2) years in a patient contact position at OHSU preferred. Some college and previous OHSU experience preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Constant exposure to usual hospital environmental conditions.Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Possible exposure to body substances.
