The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct or general nursing care to patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a licensed Registered Nurse and within the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. They assist the patients, patient?s families and friends, nursing staff, and other OHSU personnel to assure the delivery of comprehensive quality care in a safe, confidential and comfortable environment.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: State of Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant 2 License. BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Basic math skills. Basic medical terminology skills. Previous hospital experience preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Ability to assist patients and staff in transferring and lifting patients. Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds.
