               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Certified Nursing Assistant 2 - Flex<BR> <BR>Department Trauma & Emergency Surgery<BR> <BR>Location OHS 13A<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Trauma & Emergency Surgery, UHS 13A<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a Flex position.Schedule: 07:00 - 19:30; Salary range: $12.53 - $16.63/hour; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Certified Nursing Assistant is part of the health care team in locations throughout OHSU. The C.N.A. provides direct or general nursing care to patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a licensed nurse and within the parameters of the state licensing board. The C.N.A. assists the patient, patients' families, nursing staff and other support staff to assure the delivery of quality care in a safe and comfortable environment.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> REQUIRED: Current unencumbered OSBN C.N.A 2 Certification. Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association. One (1) year in acute or long term care OR two (2) years in a patient contact position at OHSU. Basic math skills. Basic medical terminology. Ability to read, write and communicate appropriately and effectively. PREFERRED: High School diploma or equivalent. Some College and previous OHSU experience.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Orientation: Up to 3 weeks as needed. Ability to repetetively lift, bend, stoop, stand and walk throughout the shift. Ability to lift and transfer patients with assistance. Constant exposure to usual hospital environmental conditions. Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Possible exposure to body substances. Frequent assignments with tight time frames.<BR><BR>Frequent assignment changes from shift to shift, day to day.<BR><BR>Occasional exposure to angry individuals. Ability to repetetively lift, bend, stoop, stand and walk throughout the shift. Ability to lift and transfer patients with assistance.
