The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct or general nursing care to patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a licensed Registered Nurse and within the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. They assist the patients, patient?s families and friends, nursing staff, and other OHSU personnel to assure the delivery of comprehensive quality care in a safe, confidential and comfortable environment.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Current Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant II license and BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Recent acute care setting experience. Basic math and medical terminology skills. Verifiable by reference: excellent work habits, communication skills, customer service skills. Ability to read and write English fluently. Preferred: One (1) year expereince as a CNA, previous hospital experience.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Ability to assist patients and staff in transferring and lifting patients. Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and continually walk for up to 12 hours a day.
