               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Certified Nursing Assistant II<BR> <BR>Department General Surgery<BR> <BR>Location VAMC 102<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> General Surgery<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 0.75 FTE, 8-hour day shift, 0700 - 1930, various days/weekends and every other weekend: Salary range: $12.53 - $16.63/hour; Location : Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Certified Nursing Assistant II is part of the multi-disciplinary team providing care to OHSU patients. The CNA provides direct or general nursing care to patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a licensed RN and within the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. They assist the patients, patient?s families and friends, nursing staff, and other OHSU personnel to assure the delivery of comprehensive quality care in a safe, confidential and comfortable environment.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Current Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant II license and BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Basic math and medical terminology skills. Verifiable by reference: excellent work habits, communication skills, customer service skills. Ability to read and write English fluently. One (1) year experience as a CNA preferred. Previous hospital experience preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Ability to assist patients and staff in transferring and lifting patients.
