               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">CFS/HFS Financial Analyst II<BR> <BR>Department Hospital Financial Services<BR> <BR>Location FAB 650<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Schedule: M - F 8:00am - 4:00pm; Salary Range: $25.48 -34.61/hour; Location: Downtown Portland.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The purpose of this Financial Analyst 2 position is to be responsible for Internal Operating Arrangements, consolidation of Primary Care Financials, expense accruals, budgeting, assisting with monthly closing of the hospital financials, preparing various hospital financial reports and various account reconciliations. This position also analyzes and assesses Patient Accounts receivables and projects expected collectability, as well as prepares ad hoc reports as needed.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Bachelor?s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of professional accounting experience; OR a Bachelor?s degree with 36 quarter hours of accounting courses from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of professional accounting experience. Two (2) years Healthcare related experience. Executive Scorecard/Dashboard development experience. Patient A/R Collectability analysis experience. Business Objects Planning experience. Accounting experience must include at least 8 of the following: ? Documenting and resolving problems within an accounting system. ? Ensuring accounting system conforms to applicable controls. ? Tracing errors through an accounting system. ? Classifying revenues and expenditures to funds and accounts. ? Reconciling accounts to general or control ledgers. ? Reconciling balance sheet accounts. ? Preparing journal vouchers. ? Applying accounting principles to one or more functional areas; i.e., AR, AP, etc. ? Communicating technical accounting information orally and in writing. ? Applying and interpreting computer report information. ? Governmental and fund accounting. ? Applying PC spreadsheet, database, and word processing software and processing data using a computer&#8194;? Excellent oral and written communication skills.? Ability to work independently and to exercise sound judgment.? Ability to be detailed-oriented including accuracy with numbers and data entry.? Ability to track a large number of different tasks through various stages of development and implementation.? Ability to use tact and diplomacy in order to maintain effective working relationships within the department, as well as with hospital department staff, directors, administrators, and the general public.? Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.? Proficiency with PC-based software in a Windows platform, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and e-mail.?
