Salary is dependent on experience and rank.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The chair provides leadership for the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery predoctoral and residency programs and treats patients in the in-patient and out-patient settings. In addition, the chair monitors the department?s operations to ensure that there are sufficient and appropriate faculty and staff to support the programs and that these faculty and staff maintain required credentials, certification, and licenses. The chair will directly participate in the education of predoctoral dental students and postdoctoral residents. This education role included curriculum planning, lectures, clinical instruction, and student evaluations. The chair participates in the research mission of OHSU by facilitating a program of research in the department to include funded research by faculty and appropriate research involvement by students and residents. This position requires participation on OHSU committees and councils and engagement in public service activities.
