<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Chemical Regional Engineering Director<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Job Number:_00073269<BR>As our Chemical Regional Operations Director, you'll manage a team of Country Chemical Engineering Managers and set team/individual goals that are aligned with regional, country, department and functional goals. You'll coach and mentor staff as well as plan and collaborate with HR for their individual development. You'll make hiring decisions; drive performance management, advise and drive global strategic direction, recognition and rewards. You'll develop a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance. You'll lead and inspire the team to develop, innovate and implement progressive chemical initiatives, processes and standards. You'll implement defined functional standard protocol and lead chemical engineering work in product creation that will help to elevate product through the use of new technologies and processes. You'll oversee assigned chemical engineering related project work to completion, keeping a high level of focus on work which will be applicable and impactful to future commercialization efforts. In collaboration with category Development teams, Product Creation Centers, functional technical divisions and offshore manufacturing teams, you'll ensure that product creation projects meet deadlines without chemical issues. You'll be an active member of the functional management team working closely with Regional Product Engineering & Innovation in developing a short and long term agenda for the function. You'll champion new chemical engineering technologies both internally and externally. In addition, you'll work with the local team and the Regional Product team, Innovation and corporate initiative teams to cross pollinate in the development of best practices and implementation of new technologies. NIKE being a matrix organization, you'll collaborate with the Global Engineering Director, and execute corporate initiatives, based on the direction of the Global Engineering Director.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Requirements for the position include:<BR>* Bachelors or Masters in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers, or other related sub-specialty field and minimum of 10-12 years' directly relevant work experience<BR>* Proven experience in strategic planning and application of business initiatives in a technical environment<BR>* Footwear experience preferred. Experience in other related industries like tires, polyurethane, plastics manufacturing, etc may also be considered<BR>* Strong motivational, leadership and team building qualities demonstrated in a product creation/development and manufacturing environment<BR>* Possesses strong understanding in all facets of product creation to include innovation, design, development, research, engineering, materials, and manufacturing<BR>* Proficient problem solver with an innate ability to deal with ambiguity<BR>* Ability to lead multiple complex projects at </font></td>
