               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Coding Specialist<BR> <BR>Department Anesthesiology<BR> <BR>Location OHS 5B14<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> TEMPORARY 2-3 MONTH FULLTIME POSIITON: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am ? 4:30 pm (hours may vary); Salary Range: $19.26-26.07/hour; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> TEMPORARY POSITION: The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Department for billing of physician?s fees (Medicare Part B). Primary responsibilities include reviewing documentation to make sure the documentation supports the levels or types of service billed and/or assign level of service based on documentation; ensuring documentation is in compliance with Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations and documentation guidelines, CPT documentation guidelines, and PATH rules; meeting performance standards set for accurate and timely submission of charges for professional services rendered at OHSU; and providing technical expertise regarding a broad range of third party payer and reimbursement issues. Incumbent may be expected to provide physician education on billing and coding practices and advise physicians of coding changes or changes in regulations. Coding assignment will vary based on assignment and need.
