Reporting to the EPG/Marine Service Supervisor, performs repairs and maintenance to Caterpillar engines and fuel systems. The main duties and responsibilities include the following:<BR>* Perform pre-delivery, modifications, and testing on new generator packages and systems.<BR>* Perform repairs on all makes and models of marine, industrial, and EPG engines and related systems, including competitive products.<BR>* Prep/modify sold engine products before delivery to customer.<BR>* Maintain rental fleet and make repairs as needed.<BR>* Perform resistive and reactive load bank tests.<BR>* Assist field technicians as needed.<BR>* Provide back-up to Electric Power Shop?Technicians.<BR>* Perform data entry to write service reports and accurately document service activities.<BR>* Attend scheduled training, department, and safety meetings.<BR>* Operate overhead cranes, power tools, and other shop equipment in a safe manner.<BR>* Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures and policies.<BR>* Work overtime as required by customer needs.<BR>* Wear personal protective equipment as required.<BR>Job Requirements :<BR><BR>?<BR>PREFERRED SKILLS<BR>* Possess Associates Degree in Diesel Technology, plus four years?EPG?service?experience, or combination of education and experience (education and experience must meet or exceed position minimum requirements to be considered).<BR>* Knowledge of basic diesel technology, electronics, transmissions, and hydraulics.<BR>* Ability to use technical repair manuals.<BR>* Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively with managers and co-workers as well as customers.<BR>* Ability to read and comprehend technical literature.<BR>* Possess basic computer knowledge and ability to operate service-related software and computer applications.<BR>* Excellent work habits, attention to detail and safety, punctuality, and attendance.<BR>* Ability to lift 50 lbs. walking, standing, and bending.<BR>* Ability to work overtime as workload requires.<BR>* Ability to become lift-truck certified and operate forklift.<BR>* Maintain tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks.<BR>* Possess valid driver's license and clean driving record.<BR>* Ability to complete safety training / certification?as it relates to electric power generation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              </font></td>
