This team will focus 100% of their efforts on community pharmacy and will serve as the GSK point of contact for community pharmacists. The primary function will be to work with community pharmacists at the store level to encourage / support patient interventions that result in better patient care. The primary objectives are to increase sales of GSK products by encouraging prevention and appropriate utilization of drug therapies (e.g. adherence).<BR>The Community Pharmacy Acct Spec. will call on community pharmacy (retail) customers across approximately 60-100 MSAs (metropolitan statistical area). Support will be offered to all retail pharmacy sites within a given CBSA in order to ensure compliance with the Robinson-Patman act. Stores will be excluded if they are a part of a chain that opts not to have CPAS call on their stores. Activity will be provided at the individual pharmacy level and in some cases will involve activity at the district level (for chains).
