               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Credentialing Coordinator<BR> <BR>Department Medical Affairs<BR> <BR>Location MBS 1012<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> FTE: 1.0; Schedule: M - F, 8:00am to 5:00pm; Salary: $17.54 - $23.71/hour; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> Coordinates all aspects of the privileging and credentialing process for the health care providers that include physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants. Processes all elements of appointment and reappointment applications, verifies information such as licensing, certifications, education, researches application details, and assures process is in accordance with medical staff bylaws. Coordinates and performs medical staff initial appointment activities under the supervision of the Medical Affairs Manager. Supports the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU Hospitals and Clinics.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: GED/High School diploma and three (3) years medical staff credentialing and privileging in a health care setting. At least 36 months medical staff credentialing and privileging in a health care setting. At least 12 months of work in an environment that requires customer service work and ongoing engagement with providers and/or other customers. Ability to communicate effectively with Medical Staff leaders, department managers, and practitioners. Ability to work well under time sensitive situations, manage and prioritize responsibilities via excellent time management skills.Ability to work as team member. Ability to understand laws, regulatory agency requirements and standards. Possess independent problem solving and decision making abilities. Sensitivity to, and natural inclination in, dealing with highly confidential information and communication. Proficiency on word processing, computer system work, understanding of data and ability to interpret complex scenarios to assess possible actions and resolutions around credentialing and privileging. Preferred: Associates or Bachelors DegreeMedical terminology. 12 months experience either with an electronic credentialing database or other systematic mechanism for tracking and managing credentialing processes. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS).<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Office setting requires ongoing interaction with both the Medical Affairs Program, Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs Departments at OHSU.
