               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">JOB SUMMARY:Design and develop new database systems, working closely with a team of software engineers. Provide support, optimizations, and automation for series of external data feeds.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Provide strong technical leadership and expertise in database design, implementation and maintenance phases.2. Plan and execute database modifications.3. Create and manage DTS/SSIS packages, triggers, and stored procedures, views, SQL transactions.4. Database monitoring and tuning.5. Perform other tasks as assigned consistent with this level of responsibility.6. Develop new and provide support for existing secure data feeds with external parties.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:1. 8+ years experience designing and implementing database systems, including 4+ years experience designing and implementing SQL Server database systems using SQL Server 2005/2008. (Microsoft Certified Professional Database Developer preferred)2. Significant experience with DB2. Preferable later version 9.x.3. Expert in all new T-SQL language elements including use of CTE-?s Apply/cross apply operators, logical and physical partitioning of data. (Knowledge will be tested with current production code). Solid understanding of set-based-solutions. 4. Expert with stored procedures, triggers, T-SQL scripts, and performance issues with client/server database design.5. Expert in use of metadata for code generation (highly desirable).6. Experience in database monitoring and tuning, including SQL Profiler, Windows System monitor, indexing strategies and query/index tuning7. Experience with high-volume databases, index management, physical database design, and server configuration settings.8. Expert in relational data modeling principles and techniques.9. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.10. Experience with large mission-critical application databases.COMMUNICATION SKILLS:1. Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication. 2. Ability to communicate with customers, internal departments, and other outside parties in a professional manner.3.
