Our family of brands now includes Montrail, Mountain Hardwear, Pacific Trail, and Sorel. <BR>Position Summary:<BR>Ensure the efficient and timely reconciliation of all customer short payments. Research and monitor all deductions from payments. Negotiate differences with customers and make arrangements for appropriate credit or payment.<BR>Responsibilities<BR>* Research and review all payment deductions. Determine validity of deductions through working with customers and other departments in Columbia Sportswear.<BR>* Write-up the details of each chargeback on a claim sheet that is forwarded to the appropriate Columbia Sportswear department. Demonstrate assertive follow-up with the Columbia Sportswear department to insure that the claim resolution is given appropriate attention and is credited or denied in a timely manner. <BR>* Manage deductions exclusively for major Columbia Sportswear Accounts. Routinely work on multiple deductions regarding complex issues. Organize deduction claim information so that problems can be effectively worked by other Columbia Sportswear departments as necessary.  Regularly create Excel spreadsheets or use other PC applications to organize information. Thoroughly understand the issues involved and proactively find solutions.<BR>* Gather and/or create necessary documentation to support denied charge backs. Includes evaluation of purchase order agreements and routing instructions as they relate to routing violation deductions.<BR>* Assertively follow-up with customers for repayment of denied chargebacks and to obtain all documentation necessary to document deductions. When necessary, negotiate with customers to resolve payment disputes.<BR>* Arrange payment settlements and ensure customer adheres to established conditions. Includes scheduling and monitoring payments to ensure timely repayment.<BR>* Interface with Customer Service and other departments in the company to ensure appropriate credit is given on returned goods, shortage claims, etc.<BR>* Effectively communicate company policy regarding returns and claims procedures, and remittance methods to customers and sales reps.<BR>* Highly proficient in the position. Ability to efficiently and effectively work a high volume of charge backs.<BR>* Thoroughly document all follow-up in the JD Edwards system.<BR>Education:<BR>High School Diploma required.
