<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Dental Assistant (EFDA)<BR>Location: Oregon-Portland<BR>Job Number:_19154<BR><BR>Providence is calling a part-time Dental Assistant- (EFDA) for a day shift position at Providence Child Center in Portland, OR. <BR><BR>In this position, you will:<BR><BR>* Work directly with and under the supervision of the Providence Child Center (PCC) Dental Clinic Pediatric Dentist, General Dentist, and Oncology Dentist and the Dental Clinic Manager. <BR>* Be responsible for working chair side with the dentists, in the clinical lab, and the front office (administrative). <BR>* Be responsible for maintaining dental equipment, set up of instrument trays and operatories for dental treatment, schedules treatment appointments, aides in transporting patients into the dental operatory, manages dental records and supplies, exposing x-rays, instructs patients and families on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care and performs procedures that ensure instrument and operatory infection control.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR><BR>Required qualifications for this position include:<BR><BR>* Certificate in Dental Assisting from an accredited program with EFDA certification including Radiologic Proficiency Certification issued by DANB or a state certificate of Radiological Proficiency by OBD.<BR>* Three years experience in pediatric dental practice or general dental practice with a pediatric patient population.<BR>* Two years experience in different aspects of insurance billing, patient billing and working with insurance companies to resolve complex insurance issues.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Preferred qualifications for this position include:<BR><BR>* Experience working with special needs and medically complex children and young adults.<BR>* Experience with Dentrix dental practice management program and digital imaging software.<BR>* Comprehensive understanding of dental procedures to assist with appointments and pre-authorization of OR cases is preferred.<BR><BR>About Providence in Oregon<BR><BR>As the largest health care system and largest private employer in Oregon, Providence offers exceptional work environments and unparalleled career opportunities.<BR><BR>The Providence Experience begins each time our patients or their families have an encounter with a Providence team member and continues throughout their visit or stay.
