Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Salary range $13.42-$17.88.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>Primary person to review, interpret and scan radiographs into the patient?s electronic digital x-ray module as well as all radiographs received from outside providers in both radiographic and electronic form. They must have Basic knowledge of dental anatomical structures and have Experience with both film imaging and digital imaging. They must have the ability to correctly mount film images and digital images in order to scan film images into electronic records.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR>This position will be the backup support for the group practices by covering the assigned DA not available on any given day. The Dental Assistant 2 in this position under the supervision of Dentist will provide chair side assistance to dental students, dental hygienists, residents or faculty practitioners. This person would be assisting in the placement of rubber dams, impressions, mixing of dental materials, etc. Perform clerical duties such as appointment scheduling, billing, and maintaining patient records. Conduct inventory of clinical materials, instruments and equipment, assists in organization, and packaging and distribution of student instruments and materials.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Required:<BR>Two years of chair side dental assisting;ORCompletion of a Dental Assistant training program;OREquivalent combination of experience and training. Must be able to read and write the English language and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to work in a high public contact area dealing with patients and staff in a positive and consistent manner. Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult people and situations with diplomacy and tact. Must be able to stand for long periods of time in close quarters. Must have alphabetical and numerical comprehension skills. Must have keyboard and computer skills. Must have knowledge working with appointment scheduling. Employee must be able to work with considerable independence and without close supervision on a daily basis. Passed the DANB exam for dental assisting/x-ray certification (does not require CDA).Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency required. Current valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) card required.<BR>Preferred:Experience in a dental school setting or large multi-practitioner clinic.
