Salary range: $13.42-$17.88/hr.<BR>Two positions are currently open.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Dental Assistant 2, under the supervision of a faculty dentist, provides chair side assistance to dental students, dental hygienists, residents or faculty practitioners. The primary assignment is to perform dental assisting functions with multiple dental students in a large group practice clinical setting by assisting in the placement of rubber dams, impressions, mixing of dental materials, etc. Perform clerical duties such as appointment scheduling, billing, and maintaining patient records. Other duties are to assist dental hygienists, residents and faculty as assigned; perform radiology services, conduct inventory of clinical materials, instruments and equipment, assist in organization, and packaging and distribution of student instruments and materials.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Two years of chair side dental assisting; OR Completion of a Dental Assistant training program; OR Equivalent combination of experience and training; Passed the DANB exam for dental assisting/x-ray certification (does not require CDA). Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency required. Current valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) card required. Note: Individual positions may require additional certifications. Preferred: Experience in a dental school setting or large multi-practitioner clinic.
