This position is a highly visible leader who serves as the chief business officer for the department. He or she is accountable to the Department Chair for providing senior administrative leadership for all clinical, educational, research, operational and financial functions within the department. This position reports to the Chair and has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Sr. Associate Dean of Finance and Administration in the School of Medicine. This position administers day to day operations and manages the administrative, personnel, budget and financial responsibilities of the department. This position collaborates with Healthcare and School of Medicine executives to continually improve the operational and financial performance of the department. The Department Administrator establishes all department policies, financial targets and budget parameters in collaboration with the Department Chair.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Minimum Qualifications include the following:<BR>* Bachelor?s degree in a related field<BR>* 7-10 years of demonstrated successful progressive management experience in a complex academic medical center or large medical practice<BR>* Strong background in financial operations including budgeting, long range forecasting, preparation of business plans, and fund accounting principles<BR>* Recent, specific oversight of all phases of the revenue cycle<BR>* Proven ability to effectively manage operational resources (people, supplies equipment, space) to meet both quality and cost expectations/targets<BR>* Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing physician compensation plans<BR>* Proven ability to produce, analyze and improve key metrics in the areas of financial, provider performance, patient access, clinical quality, and administrative staff performance<BR>* Experience that demonstrates the ability to meet stringent deadlines, undertake multiple priorities concurrently and self-prioritize in a dynamic environment<BR>* Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization<BR>* Bias toward action<BR>* Change leader<BR>Preferred Qualifications include:<BR>* Master?s degree in Business, Finance or Health Care Administration<BR>* Management experience with a large Orthopaedic practice<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>How To Apply <BR> <BR> <BR>Apply here online.
