Location: Marquam Hill Campus.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Director of Design and Construction for Facilities and Logistics is a high-level leadership position at OHSU reporting to the Associate VP, Facilities and Logistics. This position is responsible for recommending and implementing strategic and comprehensive construction program management services in support of OHSU's mission, while providing leadership, vision, and continuity to the Design and Construction department. Annual project volume range is $120-150 million per year across 250-300 projects. Activities include responsibility for benchmarking and monitoring program development and management process guidelines and tools to support OHSU's renovation and construction projects. The position requires the coordination and facilitation of programming, design, construction, inspection, safety and site project management personnel to support the implementation of OHSU's standards, building renovations and expansions, and the direction of internal and external design and construction personnel and/or business partners. Development, management and tracking of budgets as related to all areas of responsibility are critical to the success of this position. This is a senior leadership position that will operate with significant autonomy but will require a high level of communication and collaboration with the Associate VP of Facilities and Logistics, the Facilities and Logistics Leadership Team, OHSU's Executive Leadership Team, the Design and Construction Management Team and a variety of OHSU stakeholders as necessary to support OHSU's mission areas of Healthcare, Education and Research.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent. An additional six (6) years of experience in architectural design or construction project management in lieu of degree. A minimum of six years in a leadership role and experience in design and construction programs and/or construction management programs including coordination of complex and multi-disciplinary project teams. A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in an Academic Medical Center, Hospital, Biomedical Research Facility or large complex multi-disciplinary organization. A minimum of three (3) years of experience and direct responsibility for development and management of the Project Management department budget.Strong demonstration of collaboration and communication techniques to bring about agreement between divergent points of view. Understanding of team management techniques, principles and practices. Demonstrated ability in financial management, including budget and billing strategies to maintain a net-zero (or profitable) operating budget. Familiar with HIPAA, JCAHO </font></td>
