<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Director of Restricted Substance List (RSL) Chemistry<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Job Number:_00062083<BR>As our Director of RSL Chemistry, you will contribute to the overall success of Nike's sustainability efforts by driving the acquisition, analysis and communication of the chemical content in material and finished products. This includes managing the implementation of the Restricted Substance List (RSL) within Nike and Affiliates (Umbro, Converse, Hurley, and Cole Haan). You will work across business units including Product Integrity, In-line categories, Manufacturing, external consultants, laboratories and Legal to develop and execute strategies that reduce risk to consumers, the environment and the Brand. Additionally you will work with supplier teams to promptly resolve chemical issues and prevent their repeat. You will provide support on initiatives related to overall goals including the Road to Zero Discharge of Hazardous Substances (R2Z), Restricted Substance List (RSL), Green Chemistry, Environmentally Preferred Materials and Water Chemistry programs.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR><BR>* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a minimum 8 years relevant work experience<BR>* Master's degree preferred<BR>* 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree<BR>* Solid foundational knowledge of chemistry<BR>* Proven experience working within a corporate and/or government environment communicating chemical and environmental issues, results and sustainability<BR>* A strong understanding of Restricted Substances<BR>* Understanding of the materials, materials science and the chemicals and process that make them<BR>* An understanding of product chemistry and how to verify their (chemical) safety.<BR>* Experience initiating product chemistry evaluation (testing) and interpreting the results<BR>* Solid understanding of sustainability and related concepts<BR>* Strong communications skills including the ability to conduct presentations and facilitate training sessions<BR>* Strong influencing and leadership skills<BR>* Experience with textile chemistry highly preferred<BR>* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time domestic and international<BR><BR><BR><BR>Job: Product Development & Engineering </font></td>
