Please apply to the position by clicking the link below or call 503-244-7119 for more information. <BR><BR><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> <BR><BR>Position Summary:<BR><BR><BR><BR>Under general supervision, performs non-repetitive assignments of a complex and difficult nature involving the set-up and operation of a wide variety of machine tool equipment such as manual and computer numerical control lathes, mills, and other hand and power machines of similar complexity. May support prototype development activities, working with programmers on the manufacturing methods for prototype machine parts and assemblies relative to form, fit and function. Inspects work for conformance to specifications. May provide work leadership to others.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Essential Functions:<BR><BR><BR><BR>1.   Performs non-repetitive assignments of a complex and difficult nature involving the set-up and operation of a wide variety of machine tool equipment.<BR><BR>2.   Works from blueprints, rough sketches, production diagrams, engineering drawings and verbal instructions to fabricate a variety of complex machined components.<BR><BR>3.   Determines operation methods and sequences; lays out, sets up and fabricates precision parts, tooling and fixtures to exacting tolerances and patterns and determine tooling feeds and speeds.<BR><BR>4.   Checks height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.<BR><BR>5.   Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.<BR><BR>6.   May rotate into other positions within the team as required to meet production requirements.<BR><BR>7.   May participate in process development activities.<BR><BR>8.   May set-up and make "first-article" check on difficult production runs.<BR><BR>9.   May provide programming support for CNC equipment to obtain optimum machine utilization and minimize scrap loss ensuring proper tool usage.<BR><BR>10.  May prepare recommendations for improvements in methods or processes relative to improved productivity and quality.<BR><BR>11.  Implements the Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities.<BR><BR>12.  May conduct team training for team members.<BR><BR>13.  May participate in defining strategies to meet quality objectives and in system reviews within the team.<BR><BR>14.  Participates in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.).<BR><BR>15.  Problem-solves individually or as part of a group as job duties require.<BR><BR>16.  May be required to work overtime.<BR><BR>For 60 years, Kelly Services has provided outstanding employment opportunities, including temporary, direct hire, and temporary-to-hire, to the most talented individuals in the marketplace.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Kelly Engineering Resources is a division of Kelly Services - an international, Fortune 500 Company with a reputation for excellence.
