The positions require high-level technical contribution, working with minimum supervision, and continually improving standard work and the development processes. The jobs will require an understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and "software" program development. These positions will provide engineering and specifications to develop and release products that meet customer requirements. The Teams are located in Portland, OR and other locations in the United States. ?The products will be manufactured in various ESCO facilities as well as being sourced from suppliers. These positions will report to the Lead Engineers of the respective Teams.<BR>?<BR>Responsibilities:<BR>?????????Develop relationships with key customers<BR>?????????Understand and interpret customer requirements and translate into project and product requirements (timing and product).<BR>?????????Develop engineering concepts that meet the project requirements.<BR>?????????Manage technical timeframes and workflow of internal and external resources.<BR>?????????Utilize standard development processes and standard work.<BR>?????????Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvement.<BR>?????????Work with manufacturing teams and/or suppliers to ensure products meet quality requirements and are completed on time and on budget.<BR>?????????Participate in lab testing and field trials.<BR>?????????Assist in the development of product patents.<BR>?????????Travel, both domestically and internationally.<BR>Job Requirements :<BR><BR>?????????The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:<BR>?????????Four year Mechanical Engineering Degree.<BR>?????????Some fluency in other languages is preferred.<BR>?????????Prior experience in design of heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory.<BR>?????????Effective communication, problem solving, project management, and organizational skills.<BR>?????????Understanding of materials and processes (castings, composites, welding, cutting, forming)<BR>?????????Understanding of open pit mining operations<BR>?????????Familiarity with Bills of Materials and Manufacturing Routings<BR>?????????CAD modeling skills (NX preferred).<BR>?????????Experience with computer based stress analysis (FEA).<BR>?????????Ability to effectively work in a diverse team.<BR>?????????High degree of creativity.<BR>?????????Work independently, managing and measuring workload.<BR>?<BR>Offer Relocation :Maybe                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 </font></td>
